The Child Care Center at 70th & Sand Point is sponsored by Seattle Children's. Enrollment is open to the children of eligible employees or providers on a first-come, first-served basis. The Center is operated by Haggard Childcare Resources, a consulting team with over 40 years of experience in early childhood education. All staff members are Haggard Childcare Resources employees. The on-site Program Director is Mary Jo Dostal. The Center is staffed by certified Montessori teachers, assistants, aides and specialists in areas such as art, dance and music and an on-site chef. The Center is easily accessed by car, bus, bicycle or Children's shuttle service.

Our Preschool and Toddler programs are based on the Montessori Method. Our Infant program uses the RIE philosophy. We strive to maintain a 3:1 staff to child ratio with Infants, 5:1 with Toddlers, and 10:1 with Preschoolers.
We care for children from 3 months - 5 years of age.
Enrollment is available to employees of Seattle Children's as well as Residents, Fellows and hospital-based faculty. You must be regularly scheduled for at least 16 hours per week (0.4 FTE) to apply and remain eligible. You can download the waitlist application here.
Hours & Scheduling
6:00am to 8:00pm, Monday through Friday
While most children enroll full-time, three, four and five day schedules are available based on space availability.
The Center has three spaces for emergency drop-in care. These spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis and are available to children 17 months to 5 years. Call the Center to make arrangements for emergency care. Please keep in mind this service is not for sick children.
A year-round program with the exception of holidays observed by Children's, two in-service days and two one-week closures at the end of August and December. Click here to view the current calendar.
Parents are welcome to visit their child at any time and are encouraged to participate in the child care environment. A positive partnership based on mutual respect and support between care giver and parent is the basis for the quality care we all expect for our children.
Two healthy snacks and a hot lunch are provided daily to Toddlers and Preschoolers. Dinner is served at 6:30pm. Our food is prepared daily by our on-site Chef.
Tuition is based on an annual fee and for convenience, can be paid in 12 equal monthly payments. The first month's tuition is due when the registration form is submitted.
Seattle Children's provides for a limited number of child care scholarships to eligible families. Application forms for scholarships subsidy are available from the Director.
