The Childcare Center at 70th & Sandpoint
The Child Care Center at 70th & Sand Point is sponsored by Seattle Children's. Enrollment is open to the children of eligible employees or providers on a first-come, first-served basis. The Center is operated by Haggard Childcare Resources, a consulting team with over 25 years of experience in early childhood education. All staff members are Haggard Chidcare Rescources employees. The on-site Program Director is Mary Jo Dostal. The Center is staffed by certified Montessori teachers, assistants, aides and specialists in areas such as art, dance and music and an on-site chef. The Center is easily access by car, bus, bicycle or Children's shuttle service.

Hours & Scheduling
6:00am to 8:00pm
Monday through Friday
Three, four and five day schedules are available based on space availability.
Ages of Children
Three months to five years
Parents are welcome to visit their child at any time and are encouraged to participate in the child care environment. A positive partnership based on mutual respect and support between care giver and parent is the basis for the quality care we all expect for our children.
Tuition is due at the beginning of each month. The first month's tuition is due when an enrollment contract is submitted. Seattle Children's provides for a limited number of child care scholarships to eligible families. Application forms for scholarships subsidy are available from the Director.
Infants (ages 3m to 18m) - 1:3
Toddlers (ages 15m to 30m) - 1:5
Preschoolers (ages 2½y to 5y) - 1:10
A year-round program with the exception of holidays observed by Children's, two in-service days and two one-week closures at the end of August and December. Click here to view the current calendar.
Enrollment is available to employees of Children's as well as residents, fellows and hospital-based faculty. You must be regularly scheduled at least 16 hours per week (0.4 FTE) to apply and remain eligible.
The Center has three spaces for emergency drop-in care. These spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis and are available to children 17 months to 5 years. Call the Center to make arrangements for emergency care. Please keep in mind this service is not for sick children.
Two healthy snacks and a hot lunch are provided each day to toddlers and preschoolers. Dinner is served at 6:30pm.
Parents provide disposable diapers.
